Overall, Nice atmosphere, average food, very good cake.

at its location at 23139 Grand Circle Blvd. I doubt we would go again as there are many other restaurants that have very good food and desserts and a bit more customer-service oriented. Event Includes Local Artisanal Vendors, Live Music and 5 Old Fashioneds and Pours of Old Forester Barrel Select KATY, TX ApWhiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar, the neighborhood restaurant known for its farm-to-kitchen menu, will host a no-cost Farmer’s Market on Saturday, April 13 from 10 a.m. We ordered the Whiskey Cake from whence the name came and it was very good, though the inside was not nearly as moist as the outside. My daughter had the salmon and enjoyed it, but the corn that came with it was in a very rich cream sauce that it did not need (and that was not mentioned on the menu). The vegetable succotash with the duck was very good. We notified the waiter, who apologized and said he would talk to the manager, but no one came to see us and nothing was done. It was also a bit bland, but worse eat that the top and bottom were burned to bitterness. My wife had the duck, which she ordered medium. Unfortunately, the cauliflower side was very bland and required salt and pepper (by request, as they are not in the table) to have any flavor. I had the pork brisket, at his recommendation, and it was very good, with a nice apple topping. Our waiter was very pleasant and knowledgeable on the menu and offered suggestions. Having said that, some do not take care of their tshirts and there was some that were very stained (and not too recently Bawa on the fade). The waiters are dressed in a nice sort of a retro style with suspenders, tshirt and jeans. The background music was a bit loud for multi taste, but I didn't have to yell to my family to be heard. Whiskey Cake has a nice interior, with a modern industrial style and a lot of light. If you're looking for somewhere chill and fun to dine this is your place!! The staff was awesome and you can tell they really like working there.
WHISKEY CAKE KATY FULL
We were so full but had to try the signature whiskey cake and loved it so much we took one home with us. I had the rotisserie yard bird and my boyfriend had the sirloin. We shared the pork ramen which was to die for. We had the Habitual Offender and the Great Escape cocktails and they were very light and refreshing. Needless to say we loved it so much we went back the next night to try out the dinner menu and were once again impressed. I felt like a kid in a candy store with all of the options and everything ready for the pickings. They bring you the glass with ice and vodka and you get to do the rest. Their chicken and waffles are to die for and the BEST we've ever had! If you like bloody Mary's you've got to order the Bloody Mary bar when you go for brunch. We did Saturday brunch and found our new favorite place to brunch. Overall, Nice atmosphere, average food, very good cake.My boyfriend and I had heard great things about this place and have been wanting to try. I doubt we would go again as there are many other restaurants that have very good food and desserts and a bit more customer-service oriented.
